Mario Gabrieli and his son Leonardo began their journey from Sydney on their 50-year-old Vespa in early January under a project they named 'I Due Caschi,' meaning 'The Two Helmets' in Italian. They have now reached the city of Amasya in Turkey. They expected to continue across Turkey through Cappadocia and Antalya before eventually reaching Trieste in northern Italy, completing a route of nearly 40,000 km.
