HUD suspends funds to Virgin Islands Housing Authority because of rampant fraud

Housing and Urban Development on Monday suspended funding for the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority after finding widespread financial mismanagement, inadequate fraud controls, false certifications and improper payments.
