Relief for Abhishek Banerjee: HC halts demolition drive of TMC MP's Amtala office

The Calcutta High Court has ordered a halt to demolition work at Abhishek Banerjee's office. This directive came after an anti-encroachment drive was initiated at the premises. The Trinamool Congress leader had alleged political motivation behind the demolition efforts. He stated the office was built legally on purchased land with permissions.
