Canvas back online after cybersecurity breach leaked certain personal data for staff and students

Instructure, the company who runs the service, said that potentially impacted data included names, email addresses, student identification numbers and messages exchanged within the Canvas platform. Instructure said it found no evidence that passwords, dates of birth, government identifiers (such as Social Security numbers) or financial information were exposed.
