Riverton Road Bridge construction set to begin later this month; Detours planned

The Idaho Transportation Department will begin construction of the new Riverton Road Bridge near Blackfoot on May 11, with demolition of the old bridge scheduled for May 18-20. The project was fast-tracked after a tanker truck damaged the old bridge last October, and is expected to be completed by November.
