Warming trend ahead as historic heat sets up to break records in Utah, Desert Southwest

The bottom line? A warming trend kicks off today with above average, early season heat beginning to build. A strong ridge of high pressure will begin to build which will rapidly warm up our temperatures 15-30° above average challenging records and ushering in the earliest recorded warmth in Salt Lake City and St. George.
