Utah seeks developers for housing project at former Utah State Prison site

"very scary" for first 30 minutes - were on scene for 1:30 to 2 hours
wind-driven fire that burned from north to south side of field (started in field)
several trailers threatened, 4 had minor-moderate damage, 1 total loss
~30 families evacuated, lots self-evacuated and went to local high school
letting people back in now, fire is contained
burned little over 7 acres - used drones to verify
it was reported that there were a few juveniles in the area, whom authorities are now interviewing
LCFD actually required that field to be mowed and a fire break added recently
reminder to community that even innocuous acts can lead to displacement, loss of property
