A new crater has made its debut in Yellowstone National Park, filled with near-boiling water and caused by pressure changes just below the surface in Biscuit Basin. Monitors alerted scientists of seismic activity north of the Black Diamond Pool while Park Service employees saw milky water in the Firehole River downstream. Upon checking the camera footage, geologists saw steam erupting from the ground.
