Victor mayor announces resignation amid recall effort

Victor Mayor Will Frohlich announced he will resign from office effective July 1, saying he does not want the city to spend months fighting a recall effort while other issues remain unresolved.

In a statement released Wednesday, Frohlich said he believes voters would ultimately reject the recall petition filed against him, but decided stepping down is in the city's best interest.
