Uber must pay $40 million to family of woman killed after driver ordered her out of the car on the freeway

Judge Richard Stone ordered Uber to pay $40 million to the parents of Emily Normandin-Parker, concluding that the company is responsible for its driver's conduct, according to a news release from attorneys Rahul Ravipudi, Ian Samson and Matt Coe-Odess.
