South Africa: Nine Women Dead and Police Still Can't Say Who Is Behind It

[Scrolla] Police found a half-naked woman wrapped in a sheet in Dawn Park, bringing the number of women found dead in Ekurhuleni to nine. The Human Rights Commission says 569 women were killed between April and June 2026, and has announced a national inquiry into gender-based violence.
