TikTok review got 1 million likes; indie creator sold out comics overnight

A TikTok comic reviewer’s visit to an overlooked booth at Anime NYC gave indie creator Dare a major boost. His video about Dare’s Yoruba-inspired comics, “Ori: Holder of the Heads” and “Etch”, received one million likes. The viral post brought about 25,000 new followers to Dare’s account and helped him sell out his available comic copies almost overnight.
