King County proposes $100M to protect 1,500 acres across 57 projects

King County Executive Girmay Zahilay has proposed $100 million for 57 conservation projects covering about 1,500 acres. The plan would protect parks and farmland, expand urban greenspace, restore salmon habitat and create stormwater infrastructure. Projects include preserving part of North SeaTac Park, restoring the Duwamish River and expanding recreational trails across the county.
