Effective January 2027, upcoming e-commerce rules aim to bolster consumer safeguards by requiring platforms to exhibit previous pricing clearly and avoid search result manipulation. There will be mandatory disclosures for sponsored listings to assist consumers in their choices. Furthermore, e-commerce companies will need to manage customer grievances effectively and work with the National Consumer Helpline, along with stricter regulations concerning data usage, imported items, and fee bundling.
