World’s heaviest building is slowly sinking every year in Bucharest

Bucharest’s grand Palace of the Parliament, commissioned by dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu, looms large as a testament to an ambitious and controversial regime. The construction, initiated in 1984, involved the demolition of historic districts, displacing tens of thousands of citizens.
