Retired 40-metre dredger sunk off Adelaide to create new artificial reef

South Australia has sunk the 40-metre MV Andrew Wilson six kilometres off Brighton to create an artificial reef. The vessel now rests 20 metres underwater and forms part of a $165 million algal-bloom recovery effort. Fishing is banned within 200 metres of the wreck for 12 months to help local fish stocks recover.
