Rajasthan HC allows prosecution of constable accused of assault inside SDM court

The Rajasthan high court refused to quash criminal proceedings against a police constable. He was accused of illegal detention and severe assault within court premises. The court found his actions were not part of official duty. Prior prosecution sanction was deemed unnecessary for these charges. Criminal proceedings against the constable will now continue.
