IMF reaches historical loan agreement with Senegal

The IMF and Senegal have agreed on a new 2.2 billion-dollar loan programme to support financial reforms, a relief for the country after a huge amount of unreported debt recently came to light. The president has accused his predecessor of hiding the true state of the country's imbalanced budget deficit.
