‘Excessive speed’: 8-yr-old killed as woman driver on phone runs him over in Mumbai

An eight-year-old boy tragically died after being hit by a speeding car in Mumbai's Bandra area. The driver, a forty-five-year-old woman, was allegedly distracted by a mobile phone call. The incident occurred on John Baptist Road, near Jijamata Garden, on Sunday afternoon. The boy sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Holy Family Hospital. Police have arrested the woman and registered a case against her.
