'20k women promised gifts': 1 dead after 'stampede' at BJP mayor’s Rakhi event

A woman died and three others were injured during a Rakshabandhan event in Bareilly. The stampede occurred after a large crowd surged towards the stage. Organizers had invited approximately twenty thousand women to the event. Gifts and food were promised to all attendees, swelling the crowd.
