Arkansas Senate Candidate Running as Working-Class Farmer Is Worth Up to $3.1 Million and Holds Position in Family Trust, Records Show

The Democratic nominee for Senate in Arkansas, Hallie Shoffner, has cast herself as a fighter for "working families" who was forced to close her family's farm after "rising costs, bad markets, [and] new tariffs" made it too expensive to operate. But financial records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show that Shoffner is worth up to $3.1 million, holds a position in a family trust, and lives nearly 90 miles away from her family's farm in a nationally recognized historic home in Little Rock.
