A new fish market in Surat faces controversy after being named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Some traders object, citing the Prime Minister's vegetarian diet and personal beliefs. The Surat Municipal Corporation clarified that the official naming process for the market is not yet complete. The Surat Fish Merchant Association claims they independently passed a resolution for the naming.
