Mark Zuckerberg’s wife Priscilla Chan’s $125 million school to shut after 10 years

The Primary School, known for its free education to low-income families, has officially closed after ten years. The cessation of funding from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative forced the board to make this difficult choice. Although the school offered a variety of support services, its academic performance failed to consistently align with state standards. Students will transfer to the Ravenswood City Elementary School District, with support provided for their educational transition.
