Idaho State Police identifies off-duty trooper who confronted gunman in Twin Falls shooting

daho State Police has identified the off-duty trooper involved in the Aug. 1 shooting at the Twin Falls In-N-Out Burger as Specialist Steve McClain.

According to ISP, McClain's identity was initially withheld at the request of the prosecutor's office while investigators reviewed the incident and determined whether releasing his name could affect the ongoing investigation.
