Two Ghaziabad hospitals that turned away child rape victim to give parents Rs 12L

Two Ghaziabad hospitals agreed to pay Rs 12 lakh to the parents of a deceased minor. The Supreme Court expressed concern over the insensitivity shown by the hospitals and police. The court will consider laying down must-treat guidelines for medical institutions. Police will also be mandated to video record statements of sexual assault complainants. This action follows the tragic death of a minor girl after being denied timely medical care.
