A minor earthquake rattled parts of Utah County late Friday afternoon, delivering a quick shake to local residents. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded the seismic event near Saratoga Springs, though no significant damage or injuries have been reported.

Within hours of the tremor, more than 500 people had reported feeling the earthquake to the USGS, with local residents taking to social media to describe a short but noticeable jolt.
Interestingly, the Saratoga Springs tremor occurred just one minute apart from another seismic reading in Teasdale, Wayne County, which was initially logged as a 4.0 magnitude earthquake at a depth of more than eight miles. While the close timing caused some confusion, geologists typically consider events at this distance to be independent of one another.
