Texas jurors get nearly $27K payout each for 5 days work after high-profile case was delayed

The jurors will be payed $20 for their first “day of service” and  $58 “for each day thereafter” — because the court instructed them to “maintain impartiality” for a total 457 days as the case was halted,  Judge Karen Sage ruled.
