Firouzja wins Chennai Grand Masters as Gukesh suffers shock last-place finish

French Grandmaster Alireza Firouzja secured the Chennai Grand Masters title. He held Indian GM Arjun Erigaisi to a draw in the final round. World champion D Gukesh endured a disappointing campaign, finishing last in the tournament. Firouzja finished with 4.5 points after two victories and five draws. Andreikin ended the event as the only other unbeaten player.
