The Red Machines That Dispense Hope: How a Twist on Vending is "Lighting the World".
By Ryan S Taylor

In a bustling city plaza, amidst the rush of holiday shoppers and the glow of festive lights, a line forms not for Santa Claus or the latest tech gadget, but for a row of bright red vending machines.
At first glance, they look ordinary—glass fronts, spiraled metal coils, and rows of numbered items. But look closer, and you won’t find Snickers bars or bags of chips. Instead, slot D4 holds a card for "Child Vaccines." E2 offers "Two Chickens." A1 is a "Hot Meal."
These are the "Giving Machines," a global initiative launched by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as part of their annual "Light the World" campaign. Returning this year to popular locations, the Church has shipped these giving-focused vending machines to a variety of states and major cities to offer a unique and memorable way to share light by serving and caring for others around the world.
