The Kinky Creek Fire near is now 87% contained

The Kinky Creek Fire west of Cora is now 87% contained, and management of the incident is being transferred back to the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

According to Wednesday's update, firefighters continue to make steady progress securing containment lines, patrolling the fire perimeter and extinguishing remaining pockets of heat. Crews will continue mop-up operations and strengthen containment features to keep the fire within established control lines
