From powwows to sled dogs to pioneer roots: Three local events earn state's highest honor for preserving Idaho's history

Three events with deep roots in East Idaho will be recognized among the state's most treasured cultural traditions when the Idaho State Historical Society presents its 2026 Esto Perpetua Awards on June 4 at the Idaho State Museum in Boise.
