Bend, Oregon, doctor steps up during deadly cruise ship outbreak off African Coast

Dr. Stephen Kornfeld, a semi-retired oncologist from Bend, Oregon, is currently aboard a quarantined cruise ship near the Canary Islands after a deadly hantavirus outbreak left three passengers dead and several others seriously ill, and he has been working 18-hour days to help care for the sick.
